About the Karmiel Economic Corporation
The Karmiel Economic Corporation Ltd is a municipal corporation owned by the City of Karmiel.
The Corporation was founded by the City of Karmiel in 1977, with the objective of promoting business initiatives aimed at developing the city's economy and employment opportunities. Corporation business activities are carried out independently and cover many fields. The Corporation's equity comes from projects and initiatives carried out by the Corporation in partnership with developers in Israel and abroad.
The Corporation currently holds rental properties including shops, offices, and storage space in the Industrial Area and at commercial centers in the city. In addition, the Corporation is responsible for operating the market and the shooting range in the city (known as the School for Security and Counterterrorism - Caliber 3 Ltd).
The Karmiel Economic Corporation Ltd sets out its business goals in accordance with the development plan laid out by the City of Karmiel. The Karmiel City Masterplan aims for creating a prosperous regional town with a population of 100 thousand and a working university by 2030. Today Karmiel serves as a focal point for the Galilee region and the City's Industry Park is the Northern region's largest and most developed of its kind.
Our Vision
The Corporation aspires to develop and launch projects which encompass potential for advancing the economic environment of Karmiel, and to serve as a bridging factor in creating business partnerships with the private sectors in activities which conform to the objectives of the Corporation.
The Corporation places the further development and land allocation of the Industry Park at the top of its priorities.
